Champions League: 63% of brazilian soccer super-fans are interested in the championship

The IBOPE Repucom survey, Sponsorlink, showed that among Brazilian soccer super-fans, 63% are interested in the championship

The Champions League group stage draws takes place today, Thursday (28th), and not only the European population, but also Brazilians are aware of the main European club competition. The IBOPE Repucom survey, Sponsorlink, showed that among Brazilian soccer super-fans, 63% are interested in the championship.

Another highlight of the survey is the interest of Brazilians concerning Spanish clubs. Barcelona is the foreign team with most fans in Brazil, with 35% of the preference of soccer super-fans. In comparison, Real Madrid is the second favorite team with 13%. The feminine public is majority among Barcelona team fans, while most of the younger public support Real Madrid.

Developed in the first semester of this year, the Sponsorlink study represents the population of Brazilian internet users and considers a super-fan the individual which declares to be “very interested” in sports. According to the survey, soccer super-fans are mostly male, from 18 to 39 years in age, with high school or higher education and are located in all Brazilian regions.
